Maldon is one of the oldest towns in the county of Essex. Thanks to the particularly dry climatic conditions of the area, Maldon salt has been produced here in a traditional way for almost 140 years. The water, filtered and allowed to settle, forms salt crystals during evaporation. It is precisely the structure of the Maldon crystals that makes this salt a unique product.
