Odlums Fruit Scones Mix 450g

Description

The Odlum family has been milling flour since 1845 and their flours and mixes are a staple in most Irish kitchens.  For those who don’t have time to bake, their Irish Fruit Scone Mix is a quick and easy way to make home made scones without as much work.  They only take 5 minutes to prep and then 15 minutes in the oven.  One 450g packet will make 6 large scones, so perfect for preparing for friends and family.

Directions:

Add 150ml of milk to 450g of scone mix.  Mix and knead lightly and then flatten dough until 2.5cm high.  Use a glass or cookie cutter to cut out the rounds.  (Trimmings can be pressed together to form a last scone).  Put on baking tray and glaze with milk.  Bake in a warm oven for 15 minutes.  Best served with strawberry jam and a dollop of clotted cream.
